Now that's pounds of cake

Ingredients

Cake
3 sticks of butter
3 & 1/3 cups of confectioners sugar
6 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 & 3/4 cups of flour

1 In a large electric mixing bowl cream butter.

2 Gradually add sugar and mix until smooth.

3 Add eggs one at a time and then vanilla.

4 Gradually add flour and blend thoroughly.

Pound cake like grandma used to make lots of butter and sugar and flour and eggs. Try it toasted or with jam

5 Spread batter into a floured standard size loaf pan

6 Bake at 300 for 60 minutes or until an inserted knife comes out clean.
